LISA TOUCH-Protect
The danger of damaging or stealing art and cultural assets in public museums is particularly high. Especially museums and galleries bear a certain risk of having their exhibits damaged due to visitors who either deliberately or unintentionally touch or strike the works of art exhibited. Safety measures – such as supervisory staff or cabinets – are expensive or limit a proper view on the exhibits.
The art object safety guard LISA TOUCH-Protect offers inexpensive and efficient protection. Its system secures objects hanging from walls as well as sculptures and cultural assets.
The sensor electronics is hooked up to the 230 V power supply system and the sensor. As a sensor it is possible to use a wire, a wire mesh, or a metallic foil which will be installed on the rear side or beneath the object that is to be secured. As soon as the electronics is being switched on the surrounding area is supervised. “Metallic objects” such as bronze statues are thus completely coated with a “protective shield”. Suitable sensors are available for delivery on request.

A unique component of LISA TOUCH-Protect is the proximity function. The instant an unwary visitor approaches an art object and thus passes the previously set up security range, he is warned by a discreet yet clearly audible signal. This way, the exhibition will not be disturbed or affected in any way. Once the visitor exits the security range the alarm signal stops right away. If, however, he further approaches the object or remains within the security range, the alarm tone increases in intensity. At long last, a permanent alarm signal is issued and the external alarm output will be activated. This method, comparable to a parking assistance system in an automobile, considerably adds to a discreet yet highly effective securing of art objects. Costs arising from employing supervisory staff or glass cabinets can thus be reduced.
LISA TOUCH-Protect is inexpensive and quickly installed. Furthermore, LISA TOUCH-Protect can swiftly perform new tasks by a simple exchange of sensors. LISA TOUCH –Protect does not require any mechanical security and is thus wear-free and long-lasting.
